Day 1,: Flight to Iran

flight to Iran. Night Reception at the airport of Tehran with a pistachio present and transfer to the hotel.

Day 2,: The capital Tehran

After a late breakfast we start our program at the National Museum with an introduction to the cultural history of Persia. Set in a traditional restaurant we cost the Iranian cuisine before we visit the Saadabad Palace Complex, the residence of the last Shah. In sharp contrast, the home of revolutionary leader Ayatollah Khomeini are very modest.

Day 3,: Heavenly in Kashan

Departure south to the oasis town of Kashan. In Boroujerdi House, we follow in the footsteps of a merchant family of the 19th century. Back in the present, we stroll through the paradisiacal Fin Garden, before we continue our trip to Isfahan. 390 km. Dinner at a specialty restaurant.

Day 4,: Isfahan – pearl of Persia

Like a fairy tale shows the ancient oasis town of its splendor: Whether on the Meidan-e Imam (UNESCO cultural monument) or the Palace of Forty Columns, in the Lotfollah Mosque, the Ali Qapu Palace and the enormous Emam Mosque. After a bazaar spree dinner at a traditional restaurant on the “most beautiful place in the world”.

Day 5,: Christianity and Islam

In the Armenian Quarter to the Vank Cathedral you will be amazed that even Christianity in Iran for 350 years has its place. At noon is, inter alia, rice cakes with pomegranate sauce on the menu. From the Friday Mosque stroll under arches through to a teahouse.

Day 6,: The caravan moves on

From the big city to the small town to Nain, where we admire fine silk carpets and visit the old Friday Mosque. Continue to the desert to Yazd. The Fire Temple and the “towers of silence” are witnesses of the old Zoroastrian religion. Dinner at the hotel. 330 km.

Day 7,: Friday Mosque of Yazd

In the morning we visit one of the most impressive religious buildings in Iran: the Friday Mosque with its arched arcades. Then we leave for Shiraz! On the way stop at Pasargadae, the first capital of the Persian Empire. Here the tomb of Cyrus the Great lies on a desert plateau. 450 km. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 8,: Poetry in Shiraz

Walk in the botanical Eram- “Paradise Garden”, looking at Vekil Mosque and the Citadel of Karim Khan. “Lured by the scent of roses …” we dwell on the garden tombs of poets Hafez and Saadi. After a stroll through the primeval Persian lunch Vekil Bazaar.

Day 9,: Residence of Persepolis

Excursion to Persepolis (UNESCO Heritage Site), the former residence of the ancient Persian great kings, with their famous colonnades and reliefs. Even what the Great from the former world city Persepolis remained after the “visit” of Alexander, is impressive. Not far away, we take a look at the hakhamaneshi of Nagsh-e Rustam. Then we return to Shiraz. Until the farewell dinner you have free time: How about a stroll through the bazaar? You might find one or the other souvenir. Around midnight transfer to the airport of Shiraz (the rooms are available until departure available). 90 km away.

Day 10,: Return

Early in the morning return flight with Turkish Airlines to Istanbul and following flight to your Country
